Chief Executive Officer of Aduana FC, Collins Atta Poku, has urged authorities to strengthen security for Ghana Premier League teams during matchday travels following the death of forward Dominic Frimpong.The 20-year-old striker, who was on loan at Berekum Chelsea, died after armed robbers attacked the team bus on their return journey from a league fixture against FC Samartex last Sunday night.Speaking in an interview with 3Sports, Atta Poku described the incident as deeply painful and called for urgent measures to protect players and officials on the road.âTo know someone that closely, and work with someone closely like that, it is painful⦠ Itâs very painful,â he said.He stressed the need for police escort on team buses, particularly for night travels, despite acknowledging logistical constraints faced by security agencies.âIt's necessary that we get police on our buses when we are going to these games.
