The Ghana Football Association has announced that the national eFootball team, the Black Asteroids, will represent the country in the FIFAe Nations League 2026 qualifiers.The competition forms part of the pathway to the FIFAe World Cup 2026, with the qualifiers set to begin on April 14, 2026. Ghana have been drawn in Group C for Matchweek 1, where they will face DR Congo, Libya, South Sudan and Seychelles.The qualifiers will be played fully online across three matchweeks, with teams earning Consistency Points based on performances in both group and knockout stages. Qualification for the FIFAe Continental Championships, the final step before the World Cup, will be determined either by accumulated points or top performances in the final week.Ranked 24th globally in the console category, the Black Asteroids are aiming to make an impact against some of Africa’s top eFootball nations.The GFA also confirmed a partnership with the National Information Technology Agency to provide high-speed internet support, aimed at ensuring optimal performance during the competition.All matches involving Ghana will be streamed live on the GFA’s YouTube channel.
