Kelvyn Boy Afrobeats star, Kelvyn Boy, has renewed his call for Ghanaian musicians to embrace Highlife, saying a growing sense of cultural pride is drawing people back to the country’s traditional sound.Speaking in an interview with Trigmatic on 3FM, the singer said he has developed a stronger belief in Highlife as a foundation for Ghana’s global musical identity.“I’ve come to really believe in Highlife more. I really do believe in it,” he said. “I feel like, doing Afrobeats, if we really touch base with the Highlife elements well, it’s really going to help us.”Kelvyn Boy noted that a renewed wave of national pride is influencing both audiences and artistes to reconnect with Ghanaian culture, including its music.“I see people talk about Ghana, the independence; people are coming back to love our things again. So I’m like, ‘yo, the Highlife.
