The NHIA Volta Regional Director, Susan Chobbah, reported that some health facilities are illegally charging fees to insured patients. Speaking at the NHIA 2025 Annual Performance Review Meeting in Ho, she warned that these unauthorized charges are deterring enrolment and renewals within the region, undermining the health insurance scheme.
