Asiedu Nketia, aka General Mosquito Audio By Carbonatix The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has appealed to party supporters to remain committed and avoid taking politically damaging decisions out of frustration, particularly over unmet expectations such as government contracts. Speaking during his thank-you tour in Nandom on Friday, April 24, he acknowledged concerns among some members who feel overlooked in the allocation of opportunities following the party’s return to power. However, he stressed that the volume of contracts available within the economy is limited and cannot meet the expectations of all party faithful, regardless of qualifications or loyalty. “If we bring all the contracts available in Ghana, it will not be able to satisfy all the contractors,” he stated, urging members to exercise patience and understanding. He further emphasised that maintaining political stability and keeping the party in power remains the most reliable route for members to eventually benefit from government opportunities, rather than defecting out of disappointment. Mr Asiedu Nketia also cautioned supporters against switching allegiance to the opposition New Patriotic Party, led by Mahamudu Bawumia, warning that doing so may not guarantee better prospects. “What you are asking today, and we are not able to provide, are you sure you will get it when they come to power?” he questioned.
